TERMS OF SERVICE
Governing the peer-to-peer resale of endurance sports race entries and escrow protection services.
1. MARKETPLACE ROLE & INDEPENDENT PLATFORM STATUS
BibPass Inc. ("BibPass", "we", "us") operates a technology communications platform and escrow coordination service facilitating peer-to-peer transfers of road race entries and bib numbers between registered participants ("Sellers") and prospective runners ("Buyers").
Unless explicitly designated as a "Verified Partner," BibPass is not an agent, organizer, or affiliate of individual race organizers (e.g., NYRR, BAA, RunSignup, or local clubs). Transfers are executed by Sellers using the official mechanisms provided by event organizers.
2. ANTI-SCALPING & FACE-VALUE PRICE CAPS
BibPass enforces a strict anti-scalping standard. No listing may exceed the total of:
- Original organizer face value registration fee; plus
- Official organizer transfer fee (if required to be paid by the seller).
Any attempt to circumvent price ceilings, inflate pricing via separate side-payments, or list fraudulent registrations results in immediate platform ban and forfeiture of escrowed balances.
3. ESCROW MECHANISM & RELEASE OF FUNDS
When a Buyer checks out, 100% of the funds are placed into an escrow holding account managed via Stripe Payments. Funds are released to the Seller only when:
- The Buyer confirms receipt and completion of the transfer into their legal name; or
- 72 hours have elapsed following seller transfer initiation without an open dispute.
If the Seller fails to initiate the transfer within 48 hours of purchase, the order is automatically cancelled and the Buyer receives an immediate 100% refund.
4. ORGANIZER TAKEDOWN & NOTICE COMPLIANCE (24-HOUR SLA)
In accordance with communications and intermediary best practices, BibPass respects the proprietary rules of athletic organizers. If an authorized race director submits a notice that entry transfers are not permitted for their specific event, BibPass permanently suppresses and blocks all current and future listings for that event within 24 business hours through our Race Director Portal.
5. DISPUTES & 100% MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE
If a transfer link is invalid, a bib is flagged as non-transferable at bib pick-up, or a Seller misrepresents registration details, the Buyer is entitled to an immediate full refund upon filing a dispute prior to race day. BibPass investigates disputes using proof screenshots and organizer email timestamps.
